Scotland is a culturally sophisticated nation. Revitalising and reasserting a strong cultural identity is vitally important for any country.
We work together with innumerable successful cultural ventures with worldwide reputations - in the fields of architecture, crafts, dance, drama, festivals, literature, music, multimedia and screen-based and visual arts.
Funding is given to artists and arts organisations across Scotland. We also have a remit in the fields of cultural diversity, access to the arts by disabled people, arts in education and social inclusion.
The arts in Scotland continue to thrive. This short promotional DVD celebrates Scotland's artistic excellence, its professionalism, enthusiasm for innovation, and its creative ideas and achievements.
