Executive Summary by CAHRU on Dance-in-Schools Initiative
This report presents the findings from an evaluation undertaken by the Child and Adolescent Health Research Unit (CAHRU) at The University of Edinburgh of the ‘Dance-in-Schools Initiative’ (DISI). The DISI consisted of a five-week programme of dance, delivered to primary and secondary school pupils across all 32 local authorities in Scotland between 2005 and 2008.

Evaluation of the Arts Across the Curriculum Project
Arts Across the Curriculum is a three-year national arts education research project sponsored by the Scottish Government (formerly Scottish Executive) Future Learning and Teaching (FLaT) programme, the Scottish Arts Council, and seven local authorities, and looks at teachers and artists working in partnership to deliver the curriculum using the arts as a catalyst for learning.

A Sound Investment - workforce development in music education
The Scottish Arts Council commissioned RSAMD to undertake an audit of current training opportunities for musicians and teachers across Scotland. This report provides an insight into the ecology of the youth music sector, strengths and weaknesses of current provision and makes a number of recommendations for informing future policy decisions. These recommendations are not solely specific to the YMI but are aimed at a wide range of stakeholders in music education.
