Audience development

Two strands for this fund available: Capacity Building and Projects.

Both strands of the fund aim to help organisations to:
- increase the number or broaden the range of people who attend, visit, read, listen, view, and participate in the arts, and who purchase works of art (in any artform)
- enhance the experience for audiences engaging with the arts, to meet audience development objectives (eg enhanced interpretation to deepen understanding or remove perceived barriers, or customer loyalty schemes to encourage repeat attendance).

Applications can be for projects lasting up to two years.

This fund does not support or top up core marketing activity, or the production, presentation or programming of artistic work.

Minimum £5,000 - maximum £50,000

Important: for further information please refer to audience development funding guidance - Q&As.
