Ed Cubitt

Ed Cubitt - Head of Finance

Ed's finance career begain in 1972 when he joined the finance team of The Ben Line where he gained experience in foreign exchange branch accounting and consolidations. He worked as an assistant accountant before diminishing shipping forced a career move.

In 1991 he joined John Menzies as a Warehouse Accountant where he spent four years in retail before going to Fife and working as a Finance Manager for a large furniture retailer.

Ed joined the Scottish Arts Council late in 1998 as a Finance Officer. Since then he has been involved in controlling the Council’s finances.  Ed feels he is fortunate to be with the Council during interesting and exciting times for the arts in Scotland.
