The first Tigerfests took place in 2004 and 2005 during the Edinburgh Festivals in August, and won a Herald Angel award for festival music programming in its first year. Promoted by Baby Tiger, the festival showcased up-and-coming acts from Scotland and elsewhere and is now set to run through May in Edinburgh and Dunfermline, Fife. |
Tigerfest is run in association with Is This Music?, a Scottish-based music magazine covering underground and indie music in Scotland, and Carnegie Hall, a 540-capacity venue committed to brining exciting and challenging new music to Fife.
This year’s line-up features over 40 bands and artists.
In Edinburgh, Tigerfest takes place at The Den @ Three Sisters and at Red, both in the Cowgate. Popup, The Low Miffs, Odeon Beat Club and De Rosa are amongst the bands performing in the capital.
Tickets are available from Carnegie Hall on 01383 314 000. In Edinburgh tickets can be bought at Ripping Records on South Bridge or Tickets Scotland on Rose Street.
