The Swedish jazz scene is one of the most exciting in the world outside New York, and this festival brings some of the top names to audiences around Scotland. |
35 concerts will be held throughout Scotland’s cities, as well as Arbroath, Biggar, Langhom, Linlithgow and Stonehaven. The festival will demonstrate the range and depth of musical talent currently on the Swedish jazz circuit, and offers a unique opportunity to hear these musicians who are creating unique and highly individualistic music.
| Scottish jazz musicians will be involved in artistic collaborations throughout the festival. Staffan Carlsson, Swedish Ambassador to the UK, says ‘Music an ideal way of strengthening relationships, and we hope that the already excellent ties between Sweden and Scotland will be further enhanced through this very exciting 'Jazz From Sweden' project. Jazz is one of many art forms in which Sweden and Scotland both excel.’ |
