The Scots Language Resource Centre is based at the A K Bell Library in Perth. For over ten years, the Centre has provided information and advice about the Scots language.
It promotes the use of the language in all areas of public life. The Centre works closely with voluntary Scots language organisations like the Scots Language Society, and with two other bodies - the Scottish Language Dictionaries Association Limited and the Association of Scottish Literary Studies.

It also advises and provides information about teaching and learning Scots and helps access information about teaching resources.
The Scots Language Resource Centre acts as a facilitator for the Scots language community, keeping academics, activists, teachers, writers and policy makers in touch with each other and with the latest developments in the Scots language world.
It also produces a monthly electronic diary of Scots language events and activities which is widely distributed.
