The Four Seasons by Anonio Vivaldi- The Curve Foundation Dance Company

The Curve Foundation are the resident dance company at The Brunton Theatre and were awarded a Dance projects fund from The Scottish Arts Council to help towards the cost of producing and touring a full length version of "The Four Seasons"

To celebrate The Curve Foundation Dance Company's 10th anniversary, the company is touring with a new modern dance production, entitled The Four Seasons and set to the world's most famous piece of classical music, played live by the renowned Edinburgh Quartet and friends. This new production is a collaboration by some of the world's most revered young artists from 12 different countries.

Each season has been individually choreographed by some of Europe's finest young choreographers.

Spring

By Filip Van Huffel

Spring is a wonderfully evocative season with exquisite choreography. Filip's work has been seen extensively in Europe and this will be his Scottish debut.

Summer (Violet)

By Henry Oguike (Wales)

Summer is a beautifully bright season, created on the company in 2003 by this multi-award winning artist. "The movement reminds me of sweet sticky toffee that can be pulled in several directions at the same time."

Autumn (Free Falling)

By Jonathan Watkins (England)

Created by first artist and rising star of The Royal Ballet. This dynamic work has a real sense of weight and falling. Jonathan has created several works for The Curve Foundation and The Royal Ballet.

Winter

By Rui Lopes Graca (Portugal)

Winter is the darkest of the seasons and has been created in 2008. Rui (Resident Choreographer for The National Ballet of Portugal) has created a rich work that does justice to this majestic music.
