Janis Claxton Dance presents Falling Light
|
Janis Claxton Dance receives Project funding from the Scottish Arts Council |
|
Falling Light is a triple bill of musically defined dance, including Claxton's highly acclaimed Rinne, set to a composition by Australian ensemble Waratah, and two sublime new pieces set to works by Bach and Polish composer Henryk Gorecki. |

This will be the premier tour of this new and dynamic dance force on the Scottish scene. An international cast of dancers will perform with the Edinburgh Quartet in the Scottish premier of Songs are Sung, Gorecki's latest string quartet, with soloist Michael Beeston performing Bach's Partita No 2 in d minor, transcribed for viola.
Janis Claxton Dance will be performing with the internationally acclaimed Edinburgh Quartet for their autumn tour.
