Young Scot Young Shots competition winners

An amazing 6,000 pictures arrived at Young Scot from budding photographers all over Scotland. Thomas Reid from Grimsay, North Uist was one of the prizewinners, and his pictures were on display at Taigh Chearsabhagh from Thursday 16 December until the end of January 2005

National Poetry Day 2004 poems

The theme for National Poetry Day 2004 was 'food'.  Many young people sent in their poems to the YoungScot National Poetry Day competition.  We feature the winner's poem and the four runners up.  Well done on showcasing your fabulous talent - keep it up!  Read the poems

Dewar Awards winners

The Dewar Awards was set up in memory of Scotland's first First Minister Donald Dewar.  It is a trust fund that helps exceptionally talented young Scots realise their potential in any artform.  We take a look at some recent winners who are making their mark.  Read more about the Dewar Awards winners.
